Since Anakin Skywalker was born a child of prophecy, it was written that he was a special person, one who leaves an indelible mark on the galaxy’s history. He led it through both its darkest and lightest periods. Anakin was taught to be a Jedi Knight by a close friend, Obi-wan Kenobi and quickly rose to become one of its brightest and best stars. He was headstrong, impulsive and had an adventurous spirit. Kenobi became the father figure Anakin never had. His love for speed had him racing, counter to the quiet existence of the temple’s corridors, just so he could experience the rush of a break-neck speed.

An amazing starfighter pilot, he put his skills to good use during the Clone War. This may have molded him into a man but his also fed his pride. He buckled at the strict Jedi precepts and eventually was led to the dark side of the Force where he changed his name to become the Sith Lord Darth Vader. Ignoring the pleas from his friends and loved ones, Darth Vader became the scourge of the Jedi. He led a column of clone troopers into the temple housing the Jedi, killing everyone inside including youngsters. He became firmly entrenched in destruction yet brought an end to the Clone wars as well by killing the leadership of the Separatists group.

Vader suffered major injuries when he had a lightsaber duel on Mustafar after his former Mentor, Kenobi, tried to stop his binge of destruction. He recovered, requiring cybernetic body replacements to maintain him. Darth Vader cast a very dark pall over the galaxy, one that would take his son to end and redeem him.
